Lauren Shaw joined FLG in 2018 as our Marketing Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her previous roles in the IT sector.
She supports our business growth by promoting our CRM platform to businesses, ensuring we communicate the right message to attract new customers and keep existing customers well-informed about the added value of our new feature developments.

Background
After completing an MA in Translating for International Business (French and Spanish), Lauren Shaw started working for a global provider of library technology solutions. She started out in their European bid team to help win new business in the UK and France, before transferring to the global marketing department. After that she moved on to a new marketing role with a SaaS ERP solution provider prior to joining FLG.
She’s now studying to gain a CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing to complement her experience by developing her strategic marketing knowledge and management capabilities.
Lauren Shaw’s role at FLG
Lauren’s role is varied and no two days are the same. She works on lead generation campaigns to bring in new business, keeps customers informed about our latest feature developments, and helps us promote our brand by collecting user reviews, interviewing customers for case studies, and writing blog articles to communicate the benefits of our platform features.
With a keen eye for detail and strong writing skills, she’s our go-to person for all things content and comms. She enjoys learning about a product feature, understanding how the technology behind it works, and breaking it down in plain English so that even the least tech savvy person can understand how FLG features could add value to their business.
Life outside of FLG
During lockdown part one, Lauren left Stockport and bought her first home near our Padiham office to live a more rural lifestyle in sunny Lancashire. She lives with her husband and young daughter, and they enjoy going out for walks in the beautiful countryside they now have on their doorstep.
When she’s not busy working, studying, or finding new ways to entertain her toddler, Lauren Shaw loves nothing more than watching period dramas and getting crafty with her knitting and sewing skills. One day she’d love to start a small business selling handmade gifts, but for now it’s just a hobby.
